Dental Insurance
– provides full-time employees

Retirement Benefits
– automatic membership in the
Virginia Retirement System defined benefit
retirement plan is provided to all full-time
employees. RRHA pays the equivalent
of 5% of the employee’s salary
to the retirement plan on the employee’s
behalf. Benefits include retirement,
disability and survivor benefits. Employees
become vested with the accumulation
of five years of credited service. A
vested employee is eligible to receive
a reduced retirement benefit at age
55 with at least five years of service.
Employees can receive a reduced benefit
as early as age 50 with at least 10
years of service. Employees can retire
with unreduced benefits at age 50 with
at least 30 years of service or age
65 with at least five years of state
service. Employee contributions paid
for by RRHA are refunded to employees
who do not retire but take a refund
at termination of employment. |

Deferred Compensation Plan
(457b) – a voluntary
pre-tax retirement savings program available
to full-time employees. Employees may
contribute up to $15,500 or as much
as $20,500 if age 50 or older (contribution
limits are adjusted annually by the
IRS). |

provides full-time employees with basic
group life insurance and accidental
death and dismemberment insurance. |
