Health Insurance - provides full-time employees with health benefits provided by Anthem Healthkeepers which includes:
 
Preventative care services, including checkups and screenings
Office visits (primary care and specialist)

Inpatient care in the hospital or skilled nursing facility

Dental Insurance – provides full-time employees with dental benefits provided by Anthem that include diagnostic and preventative care services, basic and major services, and orthodontic services.
(The following services are covered twice per calendar year at no charge)

X-rays of part of the mouth
Dental sealants on first and second molars
   
Retirement Benefits – automatic membership in the Virginia Retirement System defined benefit retirement plan is provided to all full-time employees. RRHA pays the equivalent of 5% of the employee’s salary to the retirement plan on the employee’s behalf. Benefits include retirement, disability and survivor benefits. Employees become vested with the accumulation of five years of credited service. A vested employee is eligible to receive a reduced retirement benefit at age 55 with at least five years of service. Employees can receive a reduced benefit as early as age 50 with at least 10 years of service. Employees can retire with unreduced benefits at age 50 with at least 30 years of service or age 65 with at least five years of state service. Employee contributions paid for by RRHA are refunded to employees who do not retire but take a refund at termination of employment.
   
Deferred Compensation Plan (457b) – a voluntary pre-tax retirement savings program available to full-time employees. Employees may contribute up to $15,500 or as much as $20,500 if age 50 or older (contribution limits are adjusted annually by the IRS).
   
Life Insurance – provides full-time employees with basic group life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance.
 
Group life insurance (2x salary) without a medical examination at no charge that includes:
 
° Natural death benefits
° Double the natural death benefit for an accidental death
° Dismemberment payments for accidental loss of one or more limbs or loss of sign in one or both eyes
° Accelerated death benefit for a terminal medical condition
° Felonious Assault benefits
Optional Group Life Insurance – allows full-time employees to purchase additional protection for themselves, spouse, and/or eligible children.
   
Supplemental Insurance – full-time employees may purchase through pre-tax payroll deduction the following supplemental insurance plans underwritten by AFLAC:
 
Personal Cancer Indemnity Plan
Personal Hospital Intensive Care Protection Plan
Personal Accident Indemnity Plan
   
Short Term Disability Insurance – provides full-time employees with short term income protection (70% of earnings) because of a partial or total disability due to a covered accident, sickness or pregnancy.
   
Worker’s Compensation Insurance – provides insurance to cover medical care and compensation for employees who are injured in the course of employment.
   
Paid Leave – full-time employees are provided with paid time off from work and encouraged to use their planned annual leave for rest and relaxation. Leave types include:

Paid Holidays – RRHA observes the following 11 days as paid holidays:

Floating Holiday – full-time employees are credited annually with one floating holiday
   
Employee Assistance Program - is a confidential service provided by Anthem available to all full-time employees and their household members – at no cost to employees. Employees do not have to participate in RRHA’s health insurance plan. Trained professionals at Anthem are available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. Assistance is provided to employees in the following areas:

Dependent Care Resources
Web Resources – informational articles on behavioral health and healthcare topics are available through an interactive web site. There are self-assessment tools and quizzes on topics such as health, depression and substance abuse. Legal information and financial calculators are also available
