The City of Richmond is now experiencing a renaissance—a rebirth vital to the economic and social growth of our city. The Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority (RRHA) is at the center of this growth. As first introduced in our Strategic Plan, RRHA is now prepared to embark upon a journey of community revitalization that will ensure that residents of North Jackson Ward community and The Dove Street Redevelopment area realize their dream of living in a thriving, vibrant community which includes mixed-income housing with necessary, up-to-date amenities and safer streets.
RRHA has now contracted with a master planning firm, ICON Architecture, to work with our agency to lead this multi-faceted community revitalization effort.
We fully understand that revitalizing a community requires change—and we are aware that change can affect the comfort level of our residents. While change ultimately brings about the desired results, its processes can pose challenges. As we pursue this course, our residents remain our foremost priority and to safeguard the success of this initiative, we will be seeking their input every step of the way.
